Jarvis Green's 2nd Annual Wine Tasting Event

Jarvis Green makes a living out of disrupting the lives of opposing quarterbacks and ball carriers.
Off the field, Green makes it a point to help those whose real lives have been disrupted by Hurricane Katrina.
That off-the-field endeavor will be evident once again on November 15, 2008, when Green hosts the Second Annual Jarvis Green Foundation Wine Tasting Gala at Johnson & Wales Inn in Seekonk, Mass.
Green, a defensive end for the New England Patriots, will be joined by many of his football teammates and other local celebrities as co-hosts of this major fundraising event.
Guests will not only engage in fine wine tasting and enjoy the culinary excellence of the chefs at Johnson & Wales, but there will also be entertainment provided by Ameranouche, a leading American gypsy jazz band.
Funds will also be raised by a silent auction of sports memorabilia.
A Louisiana native, Green was deeply touched by the devastation Hurricane Katrina caused. He has since committed himself to helping the victims, especially single mothers, get their lives back on track and remain in the hearts and minds of others who may be able to provide help.
Green was drafted in the 4th round of the 2002 NFL Draft, out of Louisiana State University. In 2006, Green was the recipient of the New England Patriots Ron Burton Community Service Award.
