With a new season of "Dancing with the Stars" on the horizon, and "American Idol" coming down the home stretch, it’s hard to leave ex- Super Bowl Champion Otis Wilson out of the conversation, when it comes to competing on performances.

While Randy, Paula and Simon search the country in hopes of finding the next Carrie Underwood or Clay Aiken, Chicago hosts a very decorated candidate of its own.

Otis Wilson, former Chicago Bear linebacker and 1985 Super Bowl Champion, strutted his stuff in the ever- famous Super Bowl Shuffle.

And if Simon shows his European "charm” again by saying "No", which he has done to some of the greatest talents to hit the "American Idol" stage, Wilson can grab a partner and try to impress the "Dancing with the Stars" panel.

Michael Strahan did it after retiring, why can’t Wilson? We already know he can dance as he tore up the stage in the Super Bowl Shuffle video.

Competition? Not a problem. Wilson has played with and against some of the best competitors ever, including Walter Payton, Mike Singletary and Jim McMahon, to name a few.

And he didn’t get the nickname “Junk Yard Dog” for being lazy and going down easy.

He’s won one of the biggest competitions out there, so this should be cake. We’ve seen him dance, heard him sing, what’s not to like?

Being a fan favorite and loved by the entire city of Chicago, it’s almost a given that Wilson would get support in what ever he does.

So, Randy, Paula, Simon, the "Dancing with the Stars" panel and the future singers and dancers out there, beware of dog!
